Anawim Expenses
Not everyone can give money or wishes to. If you would like to give to Anawim, but not provide cash, please look at our alternative giving ideas in italics.
Meals— $1000 a year for food and paper supplies
This allows us to provide 2600 plates and bowls of food a year.
Provide canned food (various and large), paper plates, foam bowls, napkins, orange drink mix (i.e. Tang), meat.
Coffee/Tea— $260 a year
This allows us to serve 9360 cups of coffee a year.
Provide coffee; tea bags; sugar, creamer
Bibles – $120 a year
This allows us to buy 20 bibles a year to give away
If you wish to provide Bibles to give, please King James, New Living Translation, or New American Standard Bibles only, in good condition, please. We could use about five large print Bibles a year as well.
Literature Distribution— $730 a year
This allows us to distribute over 4000 tracts and scripture readings a year
Provide ink jet cartridges HP45 and HP78 (or equivalent); colored 24 lb. paper.
Cell Phone— $624 a year
This allows Steve Kimes to be in contact with Anawim and do counseling at any time. You can pay on this account under the phone number 503-888-4453 at any T-Mobile office.
Gas/Transportation— $2600 a year
This allows people and goods to be transported from our base to services and back, as well as getting Steve to his meetings.
Provide an oil change at Jiffy Lube, give a gas card from Arco, money for repairs.
Building Rent— $6000 a year
This allows us to meet for our Sunday and Tuesday meetings
Shower ministry— $1000 a year
This allows us to offer clothing and showers to hundreds of homeless a year. We also wash clothes for the homeless.
Soap, shampoo, socks, clothing (especially men’s), rent to pay Peace Mennonite church, first aide supplies, foot care supplies, laundry soap, vitamins.
Anawim House Expenses— $6600 a year
This amount goes primarily to the expenses of the house, including some utilities, repairs and taxes.
Food—Rice (Jasmine, 50 lb. bags), canned baked beans, frozen veggies, fresh fruit—apples and oranges, refried beans, cheddar cheese, eggs, ramen or Cup O Noodles (especially chicken flavor), canned olives, ground beef, ground turkey, canned tuna (in water), turkey lunch meat, hot dogs, cereal—Cheerios, old fashioned oats, brown sugar/cinnamon Malt O Meal, frosted flakes.
Firewood, toilet paper, paper towels, diaper wipes, laundry soap.
